RedFlow is stepping up. In a recently published video they give us a look inside their new scaled-up Energy Pod Z. New equipment and engineering inside the Pod raises their 48V individual systems to 800-900 V for better grid compatibility. This work, and announcements like their recent deal in California, demonstrate how RedFlow has scaled their original household-sized technology to this larger system in order to compete on the larger grid storage market. Their technology, rooted in robust Zinc-Bromine chemistry, makes a remarkably durable battery, able to operate with little maintenance and low overhead even at temperatures up to 50 C / 122 F!
