One huge thing that distinguishes most Zinc-based battery technologies and the many, many others being discussed for future grid storage is that Zinc batteries are already in the field and have been for some time. Sure, new generations are always being developed- like those that will run better with Octet chemistry in the near future- but Zinc technology is already here. It’s not a laboratory project or early prototype.
