For a few years now we’ve been turning to Tom for his unbiased view of where Zinc stands as a viable technology on the power grid. As Director of the Emerging Technology Office at Duke Energy, he’s tested a variety of options at the company, including an Eos Gen 2 battery starting back in 2019. He’s seen Zinc in action and knows what it can do today and what it could do tomorrow (with improved performance from optimized chemistry, like that we’re developing at Octet.)
