Octet Receives new Private Investment

Octet is happy to announce our recent investment from the Gale Family Fund, the company’s first private investment. It comes from the family of Brian Gale, who decided to invest after serving as a mentor to the company via JumpStart’s Burton D. Morgan Mentoring Program for the past 15 months. Since making the investment required Mr. Gale to step down from helping Octet through that program, we are also happy to welcome him as the newest member of our Senior Advisory Board. Having the support and expertise of a successful business builder like Brian’s is a valuable asset to the Octet team as we grow.

The funding will support the company’s efforts to develop and commercialize additive chemistries for a broader class of zinc-based batteries such as Nickel-Zinc, Zinc-Air, and traditional “Alkaline” Zinc-Manganese Oxide. It will also help our current scale-up of additives for burgeoning Zinc-Bromine technologies.
