New CTO for e-Zinc
Zinc-air developer e-Zinc has appointed Dr. David B. Harvey as the company’s new Chief Technical Officer (CTO). Key to Dr. Harvey’s role will be delivery of commercial pilot projects with the California Energy Commission (CEC) and Toyota Tsusho Canada Inc. (TTCI) – both of which are expected to validate e-Zinc’s technology in operational, customer-facing settings. Read the announcement.
Sumitomo Electric’s RFB for Smart Energy
Appliances, electrical, and electronics manufacturing leader Sumitomo Electric Industries has delivered an RFB system to Osaka Metropolitan University’s new Innovation Academy Smart Energy Building. The government-backed initiative supports a joint demonstration project focused on using AI to help manage electricity demand, solar generation forecasting, and battery storage optimization. Women Supporting Women
“I find some of my most rich connections within the industry are with other women,” explains explains Emily Dickens, Chief Chief Commercial Officer at Octet Scientific, in a recent recap of Volta Foundation’s Women in Batteries Conference.
