Bullish Take on ZincFive’s SPAC

Energy Storage News takes a deeper look at ZincFive‘s recent $752M SPAC news – including how the business fundamentals set the zinc battery innovator apart from the earlier SPAC wave of 2021.

“The previous wave of SPAC transactions was largely colored by companies going public on the promise of future revenue. ZincFive is a different story,” the article quotes ZincFive CEO Tod Higinbotham as saying. “We have already achieved commercial scale – nearly 2GW of systems deployed or contracted globally, revenue that more than doubled in 2025 to US$66.9 million, and an US$81 million contracted backlog entering 2026. These are formal purchase orders from blue-chip customers, not projections.”

Eos Receives Fresh Safety & Sustainability Validations

Independent energy storage safety and fire testing organization Energy Safety Response Group (ESRG) has confirmed that Eos Energy Enterprises‘s Eos Z3 Battery System exhibited no thermal runaway, sustained fire, or propagation under extensive abuse testing.

Separately, the zinc-based battery maker has achieved ISO 14001 certification, a recognition of the company’s adherence to globally recognized standards for mitigating its environmental footprint.
