Eos Closes $600M Financing
Zinc energy storage giant Eos Energy Enterprises has closed a $600M convertible senior notes offering and registered direct offering of common stock. The move comes as Eos hits $22.6B in commercial pipeline, representing roughly 91 GWh of LDES demand. Read the announcement.
Netherlands €30M LDES Consortium
Dutch battery consortium SLDBatt (short for Sustainable Long Duration Battery Technology), a collaboration of knowledge institutions and companies including aqueous energy firms AQUABATTERY (saltwater) and Elestor (hydrogen bromine) has secured €20M from Dutch government innovation agency RvO, with a total budget of over €30M overall. The group aims to develop 8 to 100 hour storage systems over the next three years. Details on the Elestor site.
KEMIWATT, MANN+HUMMEL Launch China Flow Battery Partnership
French organic flow battery firm KEMIWATT and global filtration technology producer MANN+HUMMEL have announced a strategic partnership to develop a new generation flow battery system in China. Read the announcement.
Enzinc’s Long Collaboration With the Navy

Enerflow’s and JENMI’s New Australian VFB
China-based flow battery developer Enerflow and Australia’s JENMI Investment have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly pursue a 350 MW/1,200 MWh vanadium flow battery project, one of Australia’s largest LDES deployments. PV Magazine / Energy Storage reports.
$1M Raise for AVESS Energy
Australian VFB firm AVESS Energy has closed a $1M capital raise. Proceeds will go towards completing battery optimization works, the commencement of the Carbon Innovation Grants Program (CIGP), and deployment of the firm’s 50kW/250kWh prototype at the Windimurra Vanadium Project. This raise follows a recent $2.5M Commonwealth Government grant for the company. Read the announcement.
Western Australian VFB EOI
The state of Western Australian has opened an expression of interest (EOI) process for a 50 MW/500 MWh vanadium flow battery system in the city of Kalgoorlie. The project aims to improve power reliability while supporting the state’s clean energy goals. With a 10-hour discharge capability, the proposed project would rank among Australia’s longest-duration battery installations. More in Energy Storage News.
