Aqueous Storage + Data Centers
ZincFive Takes on the Supercapacitors
Ahead of ZincFive going public, leading tech publication The Information covers why the company’s zinc-based batteries offer data centers an attractive alternative to supercapacitors.
What Google Sees in Eos
A story in Latitude Media highlights Google’s partnership with independent power producer MN8 Energy pairing lithium-ion storage with LDES, the latter delivered by Eos Energy Enterprises.
Even as zinc-based storage poses “added complexity” to the project, a Google spokesperson explains, zinc’s “better fire safety, as well as longevity and domestic supply-chain advantages,” makes the technology worthwhile.
LDES as Data Center Leverage
In Data Center Dynamics, execs from energy infrastructure firm Shoals Technologies Group explain why LDES tech like VRFB and iron-air applications provide key benefits to data centers. One benefit: options in the face of local grid moratoriums.
