Stryten Closes Purchase of C&D Trojan
Lead-acid heavyweight Stryten Energy has closed the purchase of rival battery manufacturer C&D Trojan.
The tie-up brings Stryten’s new global workforce to 4,800 in its corporate offices and 18 ‘gigafactories’ across the US, Mexico, and China.
The company’s enlarged portfolio includes lead-acid technologies alongside lithium and VRFB offerings.

ZincFive Launches Rack-Level Storage
Nickel-zinc innovator ZincFive has unveiled rack-level energy storage for AI data centers.
The new NiZn In-Rack Power Solutions are designed to handle the intense power spikes of AI workloads, without the fire risk – and to store enough energy to provide minute-level backup power during outages.
This feature combination positions the tech strongly against both lithium-ion and capacitor options. Read the press release.

Clarios Launches New AGM Production Line
Lead-acid giant Clarios has launched a new absorbent glass mat (AGM) production line at its St. Joseph, Missouri plant.
The move is part of a $400M expansion planned to increase the OEM’s production capacity by an additional 4.8M AGM batteries annually.

EnerVenue Opens First High-Volume Factory
Nickel-hydrogen startup EnerVenue has opened its first high-volume factory for its Aqueous Metal Cell (AMC) battery, located in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, China.
The Fremont, California-based company already counts customers in the US, Australia, and China, and signed its first multi-megawatt-hour order last month.
EnerVenue says the AMC lasts about 30 years and carries no thermal-runaway risk, making it a highly attractive option for grid storage and data centers.
