Google, Eos Energy Enterprises, and energy developer MN8 are collaborating to deliver 86 MW of utility-scale solar and storage including 10 MW/100 MWh of Eos’ Z3™ zinc-based LDES to the PJM grid.
The project, which is part of Google’s broader efforts to accelerate LDES technology commercialization, will support Google data centers including a planned facility in West Virginia.
UK manganese flow LDES startup Certain Energy (FKA RFC Power) has raised a £10 million (~$13.63 million) Series A to commercialize its technology and prepare for grid deployment. British Business Bank led the round.
In other Eos news, the company is consolidating its Pittsburgh-area zinc battery manufacturing to its 432,000 square foot, 4GWh facility it opened earlier this year.
