€14.4 Million to Unbound
Swiss-based Unbound Potential has secured €14.4 million ($16.9 million) in funding. The firm, which is also in talks with Amazon about its energy storage system, intends to bring its membrane-free redox flow battery technology to market by mid-next year. Details in ESS News.

VFB / Zinc: Hot in Cap and Floor
UK energy regulator Ofgem has moved 77 LDES projects into the assessment stage of the cap-and-floor scheme — with “Vanadium flow battery / zinc battery” standing as the second-largest class of shortlisted projects.
- VFB / Zinc represents 15 Track 1 projects and 16 shortlisted projects in all, totaling 2.6GW out the 77 projects’ cumulative 28.7GW of power.
