The International Zinc Association, in partnership with an initial coalition of six Zinc battery manufacturers, has launched the Zinc Battery Initiative, an organization whose mission is to educate the world on the promise and progress of Zinc-based batteries. Zinc is the safe, sustainable, economical, and versatile energy metal our world needs, but these batteries are emerging at a time when incumbent technologies dominate the public conversation.
This critically-needed new group provides a single platform where the many emerging Zinc Battery companies can have their work showcased together to show the real commercial and environmental promise that these technologies offer.
